QUILTING CRUISE TIPS AND TRICKS

Do Now

Download the Royal Caribbean app. You'll use it to check-in, upload your passport, select your boarding time, book shows & dining and see the daily schedule

45 Days Prior To Sailing

Check-in using the Royal Caribbean app- choose your boarding time! This is first come first choose. You'll also verify that your passport information is correct, make reservations for specialty dining and make reservations for shows, if you'd like. IT IS ESSENTIAL TO DOUBLE-CHECK THAT YOUR ID MATCHES THE INFORMATION ON YOUR RESERVATION. Make sure names are spelled exactly as they appear on your ID. Make sure your passport is not expired and will not expire for 6 months from the last day of the cruise!

30 Days Prior To Sailing

Print Luggage Tags- this cannot be done in the app. Go to the Royal Caribbean website, log in, go to Manage My Cruise, select Luggage Tags, then print. No printer? Let me know and I will print and mail to you. Luggage Tags are for your checked bags only, not carry on. Bags with luggage tags will be brought to your room for you

Cape Liberty Cruise Port (Bayonne, NJ)

The nearest aiport is Newark (EWR). If you need a hotel, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Newark Airport has a park & stay rate that includes up to 14 days parking at the hotel and a shuttle to the cruise port

Parking is $30/day. There is a free shuttle that runs from the parking to the cruise port

Tips For Boarding Day

Bring A Carry On- your luggage may not arrive until later in the day. Keep your essentials on you in a carry-on, such as passport, credit card, sunscreen, medications, etc.

Arrive On Time- if your check-in is at 11am, get there close to that time. If your timing allows, enjoy lunch! The buffet may be crowded so consider the dining room for a quieter option

On Board Tips

Reserve Shows Early- the Broadway show, Aqua Theater and Ice Show can fill up. Book them in the app as soon as possible

Dining- There are many complimentary restaurants (main dining room, Windjammer buffet, Park Cafe, El Loco Fresh, Sorrento's Pizza). Specialty dining is extra and can be fun for a splurge night

Explore the Neighborhoods- Oasis has themed areas like Central Park, the Boardwalk and Royal Promenade. Each has a different vibe, music and dining

Use the Daily Planner- you'll see options for the shows, special events, theme nights and much more

Packing Essentials

Passport, refillable water bottle, motion sickness remedy (even if you think you don't need them). Dress code is casual but many enjoy wearing nicer outfits to dinner
